Capitolis was born on the tennis court where founder Gil Mandelzis, a successful banker and fintech entrepreneur, had a regular game with co-founder Tom Glocer, a Morgan Stanley director and former CEO of Thomson Reuters. Between serves, they discussed the growing disconnect between banks and institutional investors based on post-financial crisis regulations and realized there needed to be a way to solve this.
